Trust and safety

For members, parents and partners. Calm, serious, and in plain words. TalkShak is not live yet, so this page describes how the system is designed to work — it does not promise response times or safety results.

18+ only

TalkShak is for adults 18 and over in the United States at launch. Sign-up includes an age check. If someone under 18 is found, their account is removed.

Our rules, in plain words

How to report something

Use the report button on any post, comment, video, profile or community. You can also report through the Contact page. Tell us what happened and, if you can, link to the content.

What happens after a report

A report goes to a review queue, sorted by priority. A reviewer looks at it, decides with a written reason, and notices go to the poster and the reporter. Urgent child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority.

Appeals

If you disagree with a decision, you can appeal. Appeals are reviewed again, and a permanent ban needs a second reviewer.

Protection from abuse and intimate-image sharing

Intimate images shared without consent are removed, including known identical copies where they can be identified. This is a priority area for the review team. If you need help now, contact local support services and law enforcement as appropriate, and use the report route here as well.

Privacy controls

Members will be able to control who sees their profile and posts, block and mute people, export their data, and delete their account. Only the data a feature needs is collected.

Law-enforcement guidelines

TalkShak will respond to lawful requests through the legal contact route on the Contact page. Private messages are not routinely read by staff.

Contact

See the Contact page for Support, Report abuse, Legal and copyright notices, and Business and press. Company name, address and mailboxes are to be confirmed before launch.
